I learned this recipe from my friend, who is an expert in doing shrimp biryani. Generally I always do chicken and mutton biryani, but I tried this recipe and it is awesome. After eating my friend’s recipe immediately I took this recipe from her and tried it the next day.definetly you will love this recipe.

Pre-process:
- Shell, devein prawns, wash well and drain.
Procedure:
- Take a kadai and add prawns, 1tbsp ginger garlic paste, and chilli powder, salt and mix well, cook until prawns are cooked.
- Mean while take pressure cooker, heat oil in it and add cloves, cinnamon, bayleaf, redchillies and fry for a minute.
- Add onions and fry for 2 minutes and add green chillies, curryleaves and fry for 2 minutes, till onions are slightly brown.
- Add coriander leaves, mint leaves and mix well, and add 1tbsp ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes away.
- Now add rice to kadai and fry rice for 2 minute till rice turns to little whitish colour.Dont over fry rice.
- Now add biryani masala, salt, turmeric and fry for a minute.
- Add prawns to rice and fry for 2 minutes and add water and keep cooker lid but don’t keep whistle.
- Cook without putting whistle for 20 minutes or more until rice is cooked and serve hot.
Note:
- Depending upon type of rice, amount of water may vary.
- I used Shan biryani masala and so added whole packet, depending upon type of masala amount of masala may vary.
- While adding salt be careful as you are adding salt to prawns and to rice, even some times biryani masalas may have salt in them depending on brand of masala.
- If you want your biryani to be colorful take some red food colour and mix it in water and sprinkle over rice after biryani is done.
