Palak babycorn rice is eye appealing dish and tasty too. Kids may not eat leafy vegetables but when we make eye appealing dishes they will attract to those dishes and they show interest in eating those dishes.
So try this healthy recipe and palak is very good for health as it has k vitamin and helps in strengthening of bones. This palak baby corn rice is very healthy recipe as it has both palak and baby corn which are good for health.
Ingredients:
Palak-4cups (170 grams)
Cooked rice-7cups
Cloves-4cloves
Elaichi-1
Cinnamon stick-2inch piece
Bayleaf-2
Baby corn-9
Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
Curry leaves-2 springs
Onion (medium size)-1
Chillies-10 to 12
For masala powder:
Cloves-4
Cinnamon stick -2 inch piece
Oil-2tbsp
Salt-to taste
Water-4tbsp
Pre-process:
- Wash palak by adding some salt to water.
- Make powder out of cloves and cinnamon stick.
- Cut baby corns into ½ inch pieces.
Procedure:
- Put kadai on stove and throw in washed palak and cook till all water goes away from palak and then make a smooth paste using a blender.
- Heat oil and add in cinnamon, clovesbayleaf, and elaichi and fry them for a minute.
- Add onions and green chillies and fry till onions turn golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute till raw smell of the paste goes away.
- Now add baby corn pieces and fry for 3-4 minutes till they are nicely cooked.
- Add palak paste and 4 tbsp of water and add masala powder we made earlier, salt sufficient to palak paste and rice and mix well.
- Add curry leaves to kadai and mix.
- Add rice to kadai and mix gently for palak and rice to mix well.
Note:
- While adding salt add salt sufficient to rice and palak paste.
- If you want your palak rice to be more spicy sprinkle some garam masala at last and mix well.
Serving Ideas:
Goes very well with raita.
