Greenchilli chicken is cooked as regular chicken (chicken cooked using chill powder) but in this recipe instead of chill powder we are using greenchillies paste. Even though there is a very little variation between regular chicken (chicken cooked using chill powder) and this curry, coming to taste of this curry there is a lot of variation between chicken cooked using chill powder and this dish. This curry tastes awesome, and you will love this recipe.
Ingredients:
Chicken-2 pounds
Ginger garlic paste-3tsp
GreenChillies paste
Turmeric-1/4tsp
Salt-to taste
Onion(medium)-3(finely chopped)
GreenChilli-5(cut lengthwise)
Curry leaves-2springs
Elaichi-3
Cinnamon stick/Dalchinachekka-two 2inch piece
Cloves/lavangalu-14
Daniyapowder-2tsp+1tsp
Oil-2tbsp
Bayleaf-3
Elaichi-4
Curd-3tsp
Lemon juice -1/2 lemon.
Pre-process:
- Make coarse paste out of green chillies.
Procedure:
- Heat oil in a pan and add bayleaf,cinnamon,elaichi,cloves and fry fora minute.
- Add onions and fry till onions are golden brown.
- Add chicken pieces, salt,turmeric to onions and mix it nicely. Fry for 3minutes.
- Add greenchillies paste,green chillies,curryleaves and 2tsp daniya powder and mix nicely and keep lid and cook,keep stirring inbetween.
- Once chicken is done add 1tsp daniya powder, curd, add lemon juice and switch off stove and mix chicken nicely.
- Garnish with coriander leaves hand serve.
- Goes very well with rice,chapathi,roti.
Note:
Depending upon your taste you can increase or decrease greenchillies paste.
