These biscuits are one of my all time favourites.I learned this recipe from my mom.Generally kids will love these biscuits. You can prepare these biscuits very easily and very quickly.
Ingredients:
Maida/all-purpose flour-1cup
Melted Ghee/clarified butter- 1/2cup or little more
Powdered sugar-1/2cup
Procedure:
- Take a food processor and add in Maida and powdered sugar, put on your lid and give it a good mix by giving 5-6 pulses or more until flour and sugar are mixed well.
- Now switch on your food processor so that it runs continuously. While processor is running add in ghee slowly and run for 2-3 minutes till dove is soft and tight with no lumps.
- Now preheat the oven to 325 F.
- Mean while make round balls like you make for chapathis.
- line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease the parchment paper with butter or ghee or spray nonstick spray like Pam if you don’t have parchment paper.
- place the dove balls with enough space in-between on the tray lined with parchment paper and make them flat by pressing slightly.
- Now place the tray in oven for 15 to 20 minutes till raw dove becomes hard like biscuits.
Note:
- If you don’t have a food processor you can do the above process manually i.e. mix Maida flour and sugar nicely and then add in ghee and make a tight dove. If you don’t have a food processor knead it with hands until dove is very soft and firm.
- Don’t add more ghee.if you add to much ghee biscuits will not come out well.
- Depending upon oven time for baking may vary so it may take more or less than 15-20 minutes, so bake until dove becomes hard.
